<p>A needle holder has a pair of holding sections (3, 3) for holding a suture needle (51). At one side of each of the pair of holding sections (3, 3), there are formed a holding surface (3a, 3a) and a recess (6, 6) opened to the back side (3b, 3b)(outer surface) of the holding surface. When the needle holder is held with the suture needle (51) laid down, the rear end (51a) of the suture needle (51) can be positioned at the recesses (6) to avoid the rear end of the suture needle (51) from coming into contact with the holding surfaces (3a). The degree of holding freedom for holding a bent suture needle can be increased.</p> |
