This invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a lipase inhibitor; a lipophilic oil absorbent selected from the group consisting of hydrogenated castor oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil, glyceryl behenate, glyceryl palmitostearate and a mixture thereof; and a pharmaceutically acceptable additive, an oral formulation of a lipase inhibitor prepared ther e from and a method for preparing said formulation. The formulation of the present invention can minimize side effects such as oily spotting, fatty/oil y stool, abdominal distension and flatus, and thus it can be advantageously us ed for preventing or treating obesity and hyperlipaemia.
