<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anthocyanidin originated from Kaempferia parviflora, and to provide a method for extracting the same. <P>SOLUTION: This anthocyanidin is characterized by being extracted from Kaempferia parviflora. The method for extracting the anthocyanidin is characterized by comprising (1) a process for extracting Kaempferia parviflora as a raw material with an extraction solvent (for example, a mixture solvent of an aqueous hydrogen chloride solution with methanol) to obtain an extraction mixture liquid, (2) a process for separating residues from the extraction mixture liquid to obtain an extract, and (3) a process for concentrating and drying the extract. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
