PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine improving fuel economy and stabilizing combustion by performing control according to the state of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The control device of the internal combustion engine 1 comprises a cylinder pressure detection means 15 for detecting cylinder pressure of the internal combustion engine 1 and a control means 20 for controlling the internal combustion engine by calculating a condition parameter value indicative of a combustion condition based on a detected value of the cylinder pressure detection means 15, by performing at least one of determination of a torque variation and determination of a misfire rate based on the condition parameter value and by changing ignition timing based on the determination result. Fine control can be performed according to a state of the internal combustion engine and combustion stabilization can be attained along with improvement of fuel economy.
