PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chroma suppress processing device which can perform natural color reproduction according to photographing scenes. SOLUTION: A brightness judgment part 521 generates a signal representing brightness of one pixel and outputs the signal as a brightness judgment signal based on values of a plurality of color components of an image signal concerning one pixel. A saturation judgment part 522 generates a signal representing saturation of the pixel and outputs the signal as a saturation judgment signal based on signal values of a plurality of color components of an image signal concerning the pixels. A gain calculation part 523 calculates chroma suppress gain for suppressing appearance of colors of pixels based on combination of each signal of the brightness judgment signal and the saturation judgment signal.
