PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open and close a main valve port by a main valve element even if an auxiliary pilot valve fails and cannot be closed. SOLUTION: A trap casing having a valve chamber 3 therein is formed by tightening a lid member 2 to a body 1 having an inlet 4 and an outlet 5. A float 8 for opening and closing the main valve port 6 allowing the valve chamber 3 to communicate with the outlet 5 is controllably opened and closed by a piston 10 displaced by the opening and closing of a pilot float 19. A temperature sensing response valve 22 is disposed in a pilot passage 21 allowing the pilot float 19 to communicate with a piston 10. The temperature sensing response valve closes the pilot passage when the pilot float 19 is not closed due to failure, steam leaks into the pilot passage 21, and the temperature of the pilot passage 21 rises. When the temperature of the pilot passage 21 lowers, the temperature sensing response valve opens the pilot passage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
