PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost dry cell with no need for charger and power supply capable of charging a large number of dry cells at a time. SOLUTION: The solar dry cell 5C is made of a rechargeable dry cell body 1, and a solar cell 2 that is provided to an outer periphery of the dry cell body and can give a charge of electricity to the dry cell body. The solar dry cell 5C is intended to allow an observer to recognize completion or non-completion of charging through a display device 3, and to prevent the dry cell body 1 from being overcharged by virtue of an overcharge prevention device 4.
