PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switchgear controlling/monitoring system suitable for efficient disposition in switchgear, efficient communication with a process bus, a redundant constitution that can ensure sufficiently high reliability, and synchronous switching control. SOLUTION: The constitution is divided into two different types of units: a switchgear controlling/monitoring computation unit 1 and switchgear controlling/monitoring input/output units 2 to 5. Functions are shared among these units. Two circuit breaker drive circuits are provided for driving semiconductor switches 21 of the switchgear controlling/monitoring input/output unit 2 to obtain a redundant constitution. This constitution can efficiently dispose switchgears 102 to 104, efficiently communicate with a process bus 110, and achieve sufficient reliability. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
