PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint material for a segment having excellent water cut-off property and heat resistance, and a tunnel structure having the joint material for the segment. SOLUTION: The joint material 2 for the segment 2 provided at a joint part 5 between the end faces 1a of the mutually adjacent segments 1 out of a plurality of segments 1 covering the excavated surface T1 of a tunnel T comprises a water cut-off part 6 for preventing a water leakage from the joint part 5, and a heat resistant part 7 provided on the tunnel inner side rather than the water cut-off part 6 to protect the water cut-off part 6 from heat in case of a fire in the tunnel. The heat resistant part 7 is formed by mixing hollow ceramic balloons formed of ceramics into hollow spheres, into mortar, mixing a pulverized body of phenol resin into phenol resin, mixing water swelling resin into mortar, mixing a pulverized body of molten slag into mortar, or mixing a pulverized body of a vitrified body formed by burning medical waste, into mortar.
