PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a metal fitting for adjusting the length of a chain for suspending a temporary work scaffold. SOLUTION: Each of a bolt head side engagement member 2 and a bolt end engagement member 3 is formed by bending the intermediate portion of one sheet of band-like plate in a cylindrical shape. The bolt head side engagement member and the bolt end engagement member comprises cylindrical parts 7, 12 fitted onto a bolt 1 and hook parts 9, 14 formed of the double-folded both end portions 8a, 8b, 13a, 13b of the band-like plate adjacent to each other, respectively. An intermediate recessed part 15 formed by cutting out the axial intermediate portion of the bolt end side engagement member 3 from the opposite side of the side where the hook part 14 is located is formed in the cylindrical part 12 of the bolt end side engagement member. A square nut 11 is so fitted into the intermediate recessed part 15 of a body cylindrical part 12 that the rotation of the square nut 11 can be stopped by the contact of the side 15a of the intermediate recessed part 15 parallel with the axal direction on the outer surface 11a of the square nut 11 and threadingly fitted to the bolt 1.
