PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for microwave cooking, which has an excellent feature of adjusting a steam pressure during the cooking by a microwave and is molded to have stable quality at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the container for microwave cooking which comprises a bottom container 1 with a flange for accommodating foodstuffs, an upper lid 2 with a flange for fitting to the bottom container 1, and a cap 3 with a flange for fitting to the upper lid 2 and is manufactured by plastic molding while providing a retaining part at a fitting part between an upper cylindrical inner peripheral part 1c of the bottom container 1 and a lower cylindrical peripheral part 2c of the upper lid 2 and a retaining part at a fitting part between an upper cylindrical inner peripheral part 2e of the upper lid 2 and a cylindrical peripheral part 3e of the cap 3 respectively, an opening and closing part for discharging steam is formed by bringing an upper part of the upper lid 2 into close contact with the flange 3a of the cap 3. The increased pressure causes the retaining part of the cap 3 to move beyond the retaining part of the upper lid 2, and a gap between the flange 3a of the cap 3 and the upper part of the upper lid 2 is made to be large to discharge the steam.
