PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial piston hydraulic rotary machine capable of reducing pressure pulsation caused by fluctuation of rotary speed of a cylinder block. SOLUTION: A valve plate 18 is rotatably provided around a rotation center of the cylinder block 10. A lever 19 projecting in a radial direction is formed on the valve plate 18, and the lever 19 is pressed by a cylinder 23 and a coil spring in directions opposite each other. A piston 25 of the cylinder 23 is driven by pilot pressure generated by a pilot pump 33 and a pressure control device 32. Rotation angle of the valve plate 18, namely, timing making a cylinder bore 11 of the cylinder block 10 communicate to a delivery port 18b is adjusted according to rotation speed of the cylinder block 10 by a controller's 31 controlling the pressure control device 32 based on the rotation speed of the cylinder block 10 detected by the rotation speed sensor 30.
