PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique properly switching combustion modes of an internal combustion engine, in a combustion switch control device for a compression ignition internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The combustion switch control device for a compression ignition internal combustion engine 1 which can be operated by switching between pre-mixed combustion and diffusive combustion, comprises: a position information acquiring means 31 acquiring position information of a vehicle 100; a determination means 7 for determining whether or not a current position of the vehicle 100 acquired by the position information acquiring means 31 is a place where the pre-mixed combustion should be performed; a combustion selecting means 7 selecting the pre-mix combustion when the determining means 7 determines that the current position is the place where the pre-mixed combustion should be performed, and selecting either the diffusive combustion or pre-mixed fuel when the determining means 7 determines the current position is not the place where the pre-mixed combustion should be performed.
