PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding cassette capable of miniaturizing a cassette body while maintaining the number of papers capable of being stored in the cassette body. SOLUTION: The paper feeding cassette 8 is provided with a lift plate 82 contacting/leaving relative to an inner bottom surface of the cassette body 81; and a lifting plate 83 arranged so as to cover the lift plate 82 and lifted interlocked with contacting/leaving action of the lift plate 82. The lift plate 82 includes a standing up part 82c provided so as to upwardly stand up from both ends in a width direction of a flat part 82a capable of being abutted on a lower surface of the lifting plate 83, and the lifting plate 83 includes a bent part 83b continuously provided on a placement part 83a and approximately horizontally retaining a neighborhood to a front end of the paper to bend it from a front end of the flat plate-like placement part 83a capable of stacking the papers to a lower side. The bent part 83b has two notch parts 83d in which a pair of standing up parts 82c is intrusively provided in the state that the lift plate 82 is brought into contact with the inner bottom surface of the cassette body 81 and the lifting plate 83 is descended.
