PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device for a vehicle capable of easily and certainly holding a seat at a storage position. SOLUTION: The seat 10 for the vehicle is supported free to revolve around a driving shaft 30 an end part on the outside in the vehicle width direction of a seat cushion 12 of which has an axis along the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body, and the seat cushion can be changed over to a seating posture for an occupant free to be seated and to a storing posture erected along a vehicle room inside surface S by revolving around the driving shaft 30 by a driving motor 42. Additionally, the seat 10 for the vehicle taking the storing posture is devised so that a striker 46 is engaged with s seat dragger 48 and the striker 46 is released from the seat dragger 48 when it is changed over to the seating posture.
