PACKET SCHEDULING METHOD, BASE STATION, AND MOBILE STATION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for scheduling a down packet of a shared channel or a common channel in a mobile communication system between a base station and a mobile station comprises a step where the base station judges whether a packet other than the current transmission packet is waiting to be transmitted; a step where, when it is judged that no packet is waiting to be transmitted, the base station sets a suspension period (t) during which the base station suspends the packet transmission to the mobile station after the current packet is transmitted; a step where the base station transmits information indicating the suspension period (t) by a schedule information channel for conveying down packet schedule information; and a step where the base station suspends the packet transmission to the mobile station during the suspension period (t) after the current packet is transmitted.
