METHOD FOR PARAMETERIZING A PROCESS AUTOMATION FIELD DEVICE BY SIMULATING THE ACYCLIC SERVICES

In a method for parameterizing a process automation field device which is connected to a control unit via a bus system, parameter values are packaged into messages of the cyclic services and are transmitted to the relevant field device whose parameter values are intended to be changed. Acyclic services are not required for the change of parameter values but rather the field device is informed of the address of the parameter value (slot / index) within the function block (AO block and DO block) in a message.
