Provided is a navigation apparatus in which handwritten information such as handwritten characters or figures can be saved in association with a position on a screen so as to reproduce the handwritten characters or figures along with the regeneration of the screen. The navigation apparatus comprises a touch panel (handwritten information input means) (24) for inputting the handwritten information through operation to the display screen to acquire the position coordinate of the handwritten information on the display screen, a handwritten information storage section (handwritten information storage means) (25) for storing the position coordinate of the handwritten information and the shape data of the handwritten information, and a handwritten information management section (handwritten information management means) (28) for converting the position coordinate of the handwritten information into the latitude and longitude information of map information to manage the handwritten information in association with the map information.
