A furniture member for preventing bending and twist is provided, which has an inner recess so as to prevent a desk, cabinet, or table etc from being bent or twisted by weight of articles or humidity as well as to achieve the beautiful appearance by preventing a fastening plate of a supporting leg from being exposed to the outside. A furniture member for preventing bending and twist forms a circular or rectangular upper plate e.g. of a table(2) and includes: an inner recess(5), arranged in the underside of the member body(1). And then a supporting leg(3) includes a fastening plate(4) which has a determined size, thickness and shape corresponding to the inner recess, and which is seated into the inner recess of the furniture member so as to support the latter, that is, the upper plate of the table, and to achieve the endurance reinforcing function for preventing the bending and twist.
