PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layout mark for a progressive multifocal lens which can be used in common in progressive multifocal lenses having different inset values and does not obstruct degree measurement or the like, and also provide a method of checking a progressive multifocal lens. SOLUTION: A distant part measurement area mark 7 and a proximal part measurement area mark 9 are composed of a composite figure mark in which a distant part circular mark 72, which is formed by removing a part of a circle for indicating a degree measurement area, is combined with the height position marks of a distal eye point and proximal eye point, respectively, these marks being composed of straight lines.
