PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor which is set so as to operate an electric field, in the direction of preventing toner on an image carrier from being sucked to an intermediate transfer body, to a void on the upstream side in the image carrier rotation direction with respect to the image carrier and a first transfer part of the intermediate transfer body as an image dust prevention means, and to provide an image forming apparatus comprising the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor is used for the image forming apparatus in which an image is formed by a charging means for charging the image carrier, an exposure means for forming an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier, a development means for developing the latent image on the image carrier with toner of the same polarity as that of the latent image, a first transfer means for transferring a toner image onto the intermediate transfer body and a second transfer means for transferring the toner image on the intermediate transfer body to a recording body, wherein a voltage on an image carrier non-image part is retained in -200 V or less.
