HYDROENTANGLED NONWOVEN FABRIC AND WIPING CLOTH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric resistant to generation of twist in contacting and rubbing an object, and having good wiping property and soft touch. SOLUTION: A fiber web including a splittable conjugate fiber containing a constitution component of≥60 mass% polybutene-1 and 0.1-10 mass% wax is subjected to hydroentanglement to form ultrafine fibers having a fineness of≤0.9 dtex and entangle the fibers with each other. The product is dried at a temperature lower than the melting point of polybutene-1 to obtain a soft and dense nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric is especially suitable as a wiping cloth.
