PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting portion which can easily carry out the centering of a workpiece by providing a plurality of adjusting screws in the portion for connecting a rotary spindle and a scroll chuck. SOLUTION: A projecting portion 11 having hexagon socket set screws 2 arranged at a plurality of positions is formed on the connecting portion 1. Further, an inside surface 33 of the connecting portion 1 and the side surface 9 of the scroll chuck 4 are formed to be smooth respectively.
