PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable use of a dust collecting cup, regardless of longitudinal length of a front part of a power tool mounted. SOLUTION: A cup part 2 of this dust collecting cup 1 includes: a front cylinder 6 where a seal cap 4 is fitted at the front end; and a rear cylinder 7 inserted in the front cylinder 6. The inner surface of the front cylinder 6 is provided with a pair of circular projections 15, 15, and an overlapping part of the front cylinder on the outer surface of the rear cylinder 7 is provided with a pair of locking grooves 18, 18 formed of a linear guide part 19 and three lock parts 20, 20 .. connected from the guide part 19 in the circumferential direction. Thus, when the circular projections 15, 15 are respectively inserted to one of the lock parts 20, 20 in the locking grooves 18, 18, the relative longitudinal movement of the front cylinder 6 and the rear cylinder 7 is regulated and both cylinders are integrally connected, so that when the lock part 20 to which the circular projections 15, 15 are inserted is selected, the longitudinal length of the cup part 2 where the front cylinder 6 and the rear cylinder 7 are joined can be altered in three stages.
