PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of plastic working by which the working can be excellently carried out even when the temperature of the surface of a workpiece has become lower than an optimum temperature. SOLUTION: In the method of plastic working for a workpiece W mounted on a main spindle 3 conducted by pushing a squeezing roller R rotating relative to the workpiece W against the surface of the workpiece W, the temperature of the surface of the workpiece W is measured, and the plastic working is carried out under the working conditions suitable for the temperature of the workpiece.
