PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which is designed to reduce the number of parts and costs. SOLUTION: The sewing machine 1 reduces the number of parts and costs by integrally forming an oil tank 4 of a sewing machine 1 by blow molding and integrally forming the oil tank 4 and an oil gage 5 by arranging a floater 51 of the oil gage 5 in the oil tank 4. The oil tank 4 is shaped into a vertically thin plate while avoiding interference with an adjacent member by blow forming, and formed long in the longitudinal direction of a sewing machine bed 23. Consequently, the oil tank 4 in the sewing machine bed 23 is made to occupy a small space and have a large capacity. The oil tank 4 has a strong structure which has no seams overall, prevents oil leakage and is impact-resistant because the oil tank is formed by blow molding PP (polypropylene).
