An authentication method for CDMA user roaming to GSM, when the user calls for authentication in GSM network, before sending authentication three parameters group to GSM MSC/VLR, the GSM 1X sends an authentication request to CDMA HLR/AUC, the field of access type in the request designates the user's current access network is GSM, after receiving this authentication request, CDMA HLR/AUC judges that the access type of the user is GSM access, tags the access type of the user as GSM access, and sends back an authentication success response to the GSM 1X. CDMA HLR/AUC sends back an authentication fault response to the GSM 1X, when CDMA HLR/AUC does not grant the user permission to access the GSM network. The present invention makes CDMA user access GSM network facilely. |
