The invention concerns a device comprising at least one lens processing apparatus (APP1) and a computer (PC1) hosting a first lens ordering data recording software (PMS1). The ordering data recording software is designed to write the lens ordering data in a forwarding memory zone (ECXH1) in the form of exportation files. The lens processing apparatus includes a first client software for transferring files (CL1), using a file transfer protocol (FTP1). The device comprises a first file server software (FS1) which uses said file transfer protocol and which is configured to share at least for reading said forwarding memory zone with the client software for transferring files, said client software for transferring files being configured to communication with said file server software, so as to return at least one of said files into a working memory zone of the processing apparatus.
