A METHOD FOR RAPID REROUTING WHEN MULTIPLE PORTS SHARING THE TRANSMISSION LINKS

A method for rapid rerouting when multiple ports sharing the transmission links, and there are multiple links between the terminal device and the transmission device. The method includes: bundle the multiple ports into a bundling interface and share the same transmission link at the terminal device; choose the active port in the bundling interface of the terminal device to transceive packets; detect fault on said multiple links. When the active port and the active link fail, choose a standby port and a standby link to transceive the packets. The problem of backup protection when there is only one transmission ring network between two communication devices is solved, so that the demand of real time service for the user is satisfied.
