It is intended to provide an apparatus and a method whereby the daily excretion of a urine component can be highly accurately and conveniently measured. An apparatus (100) for measuring daily urinary excretion comprising: a urine component computing section (411) by which the amount of the urine component (a salt) contained in the urine immediately before sleeping (i.e., the urine finally excreted in the day) and the amount of the urine component (a salt) contained in the overnight urine after sleeping (i.e., the urine first excreted after wake-up on the next day) are measured; a regression formula storage section (416) in which the correlation formula (regression formula) between the amount of the component in the urine immediately before sleeping and the amount of the component in the overnight urine and the total amount of the urine component contained in the daily urine is memorized; and a daily urine computing section (413) in which the total daily amount of the urine component excreted into the urine is computed in accordance with the regression formula stored in the regression formula storage section (416) with the use of the amount of the component (salt) in the urine immediately before sleeping and the amount of the component (salt) in the overnight urine measured in the urine component computing section (411).
