PRINTING SYSTEM, JOB PROCESSING METHOD, PRINTING DEVICE, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which can maintain both high productivity and high operability as much as possible and can contribute to practical use of a product aiming at the future printing environment such as POD environment.

SOLUTION: A printing system is constituted so as to perform a post-processing for a job processed by a printing device by a post-processing device, the post-processing device having a movable component openable by an operator. When a job to be processed by the printing system does not require the post-processing by the post-processing device having the open movable component, the print process of the job is performed by the printing device while the movable component remains open. When a job to be processed requires the post-processing by the post-processing device having the open movable component, it is prohibited to perform the print process of the job by the printing device without notifying an operator via a user interface unit of information on the open movable component.
