<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish both of relief of paper having a folded/bent or broken corner part and certain detection of jam. <P>SOLUTION: The printing medium treatment device provided with function for detecting jam of paper is provided with a validation detector 26 and a delivery detector 28 as a plurality of jam detection means having different detection levels and being independently acted. A control part can perform jam detection with high detection level for determining the case other than the case where all validation detectors 26 and delivery detector 28 detect the paper as jam and jam detection with low detection level for determining the case other than the case where any one of the validation detector 26 and the delivery detector 28 detects the paper as jam.
