PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article inspection device capable of accurately performing article inspection work. SOLUTION: The article inspection device is provided with reading devices R1, R2 for communicating a first IC tag T1 provided on an object 20 to be picked and retaining discrimination information enabling discrimination if an individual of the object 20 to be picked with a second IC tag T2 provided on a storage vessel 40 for storing the object 20 to be picked and retaining picking instruction information regarding attribute of the object 20 to be picked and reading the discrimination information of the first IC tag T1 and the picking instruction information of the second IC tag T2; a checking part 13 for checking the discrimination information of the first IC tag T1 with the picking instruction information of the second IC tag T2 according to outputs of the reading devices R1, R2; and an output part 14 for outputting the result of checking by the checking part 13.
