PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning fork terminal capable of securely maintaining electric connection with a male tab without causing contact failure, while dimensional accuracy or shape accuracy of a contact part to be pressure-contacted with either face of a male tab of a counterpart terminal plugged into a slot is not put before severe accuracy management. SOLUTION: Of the tuning fork terminal having a slot cut in from the tip of a main body of a narrow-width and long flat plate with either end face of the slot pressure-contacted and connected to a male tab of a counterpart terminal plugged into the slot, both opposing side edges of the slot are to be asymmetric, with one end edge provided with at least one protruded first contact part and with other end edge provided with at least one second contact part, the first contact part and the second contact part set at asymmetrical positions, that is, at least two contact parts are pressure-contacted with the male tab at asymmetrical positions.
