PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust silencer capable of reducing the exhaust noise by canceling the standing wave of the basic wavelength and the standing wave of one half of the basic wavelength which are generated in an exhaust pipe of an exhaust system. SOLUTION: The standing wave generated in an exhaust pipe is reduced by the interference by providing a base path P0 and three interference paths P1-P3 in an exhaust system 3. In the first interference path P1, its upstream end is at the 1/2 position on the path of the base path P0, its downstream end is at a downstream end of the base path P0, and the path length is equal to the path length of the base path P0. In the second interference path P2, its upstream end is at the 1/4 position on the upstream side on the path of the base path P0, its downstream end is at a downstream end of the base path P0, and its path length is equal to the path length of the base path P0. In the third interference path P3, its upstream end is at the 1/4 position on the upstream side on the path of the base path P1, its downstream end is at a downstream end of the base path P0, and its path length is equal to the path length of the base path P0.
