PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller which is superior in cleaning workability. SOLUTION: The remote controller 1 includes a remote controller body 2, and a cover 3 attached to the remote controller body 2 so as to be openable and closable. The front face of the remote controller 2 has a display portion 4 at its center, and a plurality of switches 5 surrounding the display portion 4 in an area in contact with the display portion 4. The cover 3 has one opening 7 that exposes the display portion 4 and the switches 5 when the cover 3 is closed. Front faces of the switches 5 are sloped against the front face of the remote controller body 2 so that outer peripheral edges of the front faces of the switches 5 are located further forward than inner peripheral edges of the same and that inner peripheral ends of the switches 5 are made to run on the end of the display portion 4.
