PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anthelmintic method utilizing an ecology of Neobenedenia girellae which is causative of parasitic diseases of cultured fish, etc. SOLUTION: The anthelmintic method for Neobenedenia girellae is characterized by adding to fish-rearing water a protein which allows cilia of Neobenedenia girellae larva to fall off to make the harpago expose. The protein is obtained from the body surface mucus, serum or branchi of fish, has a molecular weight of about 65 kDa or 90 kDa, and has an affinity for concanavalin A. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
