PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor capable of not only reducing width of a main frame but also allowing a passenger to get in a car with sufficient room even if the width of the main frame is reduced and preventing a baggage from colliding against a railing part when the passenger gets out of it. SOLUTION: In this passenger conveyor constituted by erecting railings 20 on both sides of a row of footsteps 18 connected in an endless manner and circulating and moving to guide a mobile handrail 21 moving in synchronization with the row of footsteps 18 to a peripheral fringe of the railing 20, an inner face apart from the mobile handrail 21 of the railing 20 protrudes onto an anti-footstep side more than an inner face approaching the mobile handrail 21 of the railing 20, and the inner face approaching the mobile handrail 21 of the railing 20 is formed as an inclined face being continuous with the inner face protruding onto the anti-footstep 18 side.
