PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for a seal label which can be opened easily and can be manufactured simply and at a low cost. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises a rolled web set process that the material for the label 5a composed of a strip of base material 1, one face of which has an adhesive layer 2, and a separation paper 3, which is pasted on the adhesive layer 2, are wound on a roll 10, a peeling step that the base material 1 and the separation paper 3 are pulled out and are sent to the downstream side individually to peel the separation paper 3 from the adhesive layer 2 of the base material 1 and a laminating step to manufacture the material 5 for the seal label by sticking an opening string 4 on the adhesive layer 2 along the longitudinal direction of the adhesive layer 2 so that the opening string 4 is sandwiched between the adhesive layer 2 of the base material 1 exposed by peeling the separation paper 3 and the separation paper 3 separated from the adhesive layer 2 and sent out and at the same time by sticking the separation paper 3 on the adhesive layer 2 on which the opening string 4 is stuck.
