PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and surely produce hydrogen-containing water of an oxidation-reduction potential of -400 mV or less and a dissolved hydrogen amount of 0.5 ppm or more, by blowing hydrogen into raw water without a possibility of explosion of hydrogen gas. SOLUTION: In this method, mixed gas consisting of hydrogen and nitrogen is adjusted to a gas pressure of 0.25-1.0 MPa and blown into raw water at a gas flow rate of 0.1-4 l/m to produce hydrogen-containing water of an oxidation-reduction potential of -400mV or less and a dissolved hydrogen amount of 0.5-1.5 ppm. For example, mixed gas consisting of hydrogen and nitrogen with a volume ratio of hydrogen of 4 vol.% or less is adjusted to a gas pressure of 0.25-1.0 MPa and blown into raw water at a gas flow rate of 0.1-4 l/m, jetted out of a porous element of pore sizes of 2-120μm to produce hydrogen-containing water containing mixed gas consisting of hydrogen and nitrogen as mixed fine bubbles of diameters of 2-120μm, with an oxidation-reduction potential of -400 mV or less and a dissolved hydrogen amount of 0.5-1.5 ppm.
