PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based deodorant composition reducing both of smell drifting especially in the air such as cooking smell and tobacco smell, and the smell of sweat and sebum on clothes, whose mist easily dries even when it falls down onto the surface of a floor or the like. SOLUTION: The deodorant composition contains (a) glyceryl ether having the hydrocarbon radical of the total carbon number 6-18, (b) a surfactant having the hydrocarbon radical of the total carbon number 10-24 and water respectively in specified ranges, wherein the mass ratio of (a) components / (b) components is 5/95 to 50/50.
