PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily carry out supply of seedlings from a levee to a preliminary seedling stand and supply of seedlings from the preliminary seedling stand to a backward seedling stand in a preliminary seedling-receiving structure of rice transplanter, in which the preliminary seedling stand for placing and receiving seedlings at a plurality of steps is installed at the front part of a riding type traveling machine body. SOLUTION: The preliminary seedling-receiving structure of rice transplanter has a constitution that a seedling receiving body 26 on the top step among a plurality of seedling receiving bodies 26 and 27 installed on the preliminary seedling stand 8 is changed from a seedling receiving action state for placing and supporting seedlings to an evacuation state separated from a seedling receiving position and a seedling receiving form is changed from a first form in which a plurality of the seedling receiving bodies 27 positioned below the top step are arranged at a plurality of vertical steps to a second form in which the seedling receiving bodies 27 are arranged longitudinally in series and extended to the front of the machine body.
