An optical information recording medium, and a manufacturing metallic mold thereof are provided to realize high density and to perform a high speed recording operation, by performing a favorable recording operation by obtaining a favorable push-pull signal. An optical information recording medium comprises a substrate, a recording layer, and a reflection layer. The substrate is formed with a groove at a recording area. The recording layer and the reflection layer include an organic pigment. The recording area includes a free format area and a data area. Width of the groove for the free format area is smaller than the width of the groove for the data area. A manufacturing metallic mold(14) thereof comprises upper and lower molds(11,12) and a stamper(10). The stamper is formed with a projection to form a groove at a position of the recording area. The width of the projection of the position for the free format area is smaller than the width of the projection for the position of the data area. A sectional shape of a section for a diameter direction of the groove for the free format area is V-shaped.
