PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that suppresses the occurrence of gas during high-temperature storage. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode 22, negative electrode 23, separator 24, and gel electrolyte layer 25. The gel electrolyte layer 25 includes an electrolytic solution and a polymer compound as a retaining body for retaining the electrolytic solution.
