PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television receiver capable of checking a number of times for occurrence of a failure that a digital tuner reboots itself, if the failure occurs. SOLUTION: The digital television receiver comprises a power supply at a digital tuner, a second CPU at the digital tuner for controlling of the power supply, a nonvolatile memory at a television receiver side signal processor block, and a first CPU at the television receiver side signal processor block. Whenever the first CPU receives from the second CPU a notification that the second CPU issued an ON instruction to the power supply even if the power supply is already in ON status, the first CPU performs control for writing information indicative of the number of times of accumulation for the notification in the nonvolatile memory.
