PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system whereby the ease of use relative to an alarm attended with sensing of occurrence of abnormity of sensors can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The intercom system includes a wireless I/F section 15 for interfacing a master unit 1 with the wireless communication function of a mobile phone terminal 3 which includes: a mobile phone function for making a speech via the mobile phone network of a mobile phone enterprise; and a wireless communication function for making wireless communication not via the mobile phone network, and the intercom system informs the mobile phone terminal 3 about occurrence of abnormity sensed by the sensors 5, 6 via the wireless I/F section 15. Consequently, the ease of use relative to the alarm attended with the sensing of the occurrence of abnormity sensed by the sensors 5, 6 can be enhanced since not only the master unit 1 but also the mobile phone 3 can ring an alarm tone even when the user makes no contract with a subscriber telephone line.
