PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit for a diesel engine capable of increasing the number of times of injection in response to circuit temperature of a drive circuit for a fuel injection valve and reducing noises at the combustion. SOLUTION: The control unit for a diesel engine comprises: a step S101 of acquiring rotation speed of an engine and an amount of accelerator operation; steps S102 and S103 of calculating an amount of fuel injection and reading basic injection patterns in response to the above figures; a step S105 of acquiring circuit temperature of the drive circuit; steps S106 and S107 of determining whether or not the circuit temperature is the designated temperature or lower and the fluctuated rotation speed of the engine caused by the directly-before multistage injection occurred; a step S108 of incrementing the increased number of times of injection by one injection only when determining that the circuit temperature is the designated temperature or lower and the fluctuated rotation speed of the engine did not occur; and a step S109 of changing injection patterns according to the increased number of injection.
