PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a delivery stakcer facilitating take-out of a recorded medium by a user when recording on a small-size recording medium. SOLUTION: A second delivery stacker 600 is arranged downstream of a first delivery stacker 500 in the conveying direction, and structured to be loaded with a first medium P in cooperation with the first delivery stacker 500. When recording on the first medium P1 placed on the only first delivery stacker 500 is concluded, the first delivery stacker 500 is moved upward and downstream in the conveying direction over the second delivery stacker 600.
