PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wing roof container which can be mounted on both a railway freight wagon and a vehicle for traveling on a road, and which facilitates the operation of opening/closing a roof panel. SOLUTION: An inclined panel 16 can be mounted on both the railway freight wagon and the vehicle for traveling on the road, along with hinged double doors 18 arranged on both side surfaces. The inclined panel 16 is provided to secure a required indoor height without exceeding a loading limit during rail transport. An opening area of the side surface is increased by opening the inclined panel 16, so that a cargo handling operation can be smoothly performed from the width direction of the wing roof container. The operation of the inclined panel 16 in an opening direction can be performed by a damper 22 for constantly urging the inclined panel 16 in the opening direction. The operation of the inclined panel 16 in a closing direction can be performed by winding a wire, connected to the inclined panel 16, against an urging force of the damper 22 through the use of a winch provided in the longitudinal central part of the inside of a floor structure.
