Provided is a power converting device, which comprises a converter unit (1) for converting a three-phase AC input voltage into a DC voltage, and an inverter unit (2) for converting the DC voltage converted by the converter unit (1), into a predetermined three-phase AC output voltage. The converter unit (1) converts the three-phase input voltage into a DC voltage on the basis of trapezoidal-wave-shaped voltage command signals (V<SUB>r</SUB>*, V<SUB>s</SUB>*, V<SUB>t</SUB>*) from a trapezoidal-wave-shaped voltage command creating unit (11) and a carrier signal from a carrier signal creating unit (15). The inverter unit (2) converts the DC voltage converted by the converter unit (1), into a predetermined three-phase AC output voltage on the basis of inverter unit command signals corrected by command signal correcting units (14, 22, 23). The trapezoidal-wave-shaped voltage command creating unit (11) creates the inclined region of the trapezoidal-wave-shaped voltage command signals (V<SUB>r</SUB>*, V<SUB>s</SUB>*, V<SUB>t</SUB>*) by using a predetermined table. |
